Description
This is a barn located approximately 35 metres to the south-west of Skyborry Farmhouse, dating from the mid-to-late 17th century. It features a weatherboarded timber frame set on a coursed limestone rubble plinth, topped with a slate roof. The barn consists of five framed bays that are aligned in a north-west to south-east direction.
The north-east front has a large central wagon porch with a pair of large boarded doors and a dovecote in the gable. There are also pairs of boarded pitching openings on either side, a boarded door to the left, and a blocked opening to the right. Inside, the barn has tie-beam trusses with raking queen struts, two pairs of purlins, and framed bay divisions that include low walls and long tension braces. Skyborry Farmhouse is not included in this listing.
