Description
Little Selley is a farmhouse with an attached cart shed, now used as a house. It dates from the late 17th century and has been refaced and added to in the mid to late 19th century. The building is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and is rendered at the front, topped with a slate roof. It features a two-room baffle-entry plan with additional sections, oriented north-south, and is one storey high with an attic.
There is a brick and stone ridge stack located above the entrance, which is off-centre to the left, and a brick end stack on the right. On the right side, there are two 20th-century raking eaves dormers that contain 2-light casements. The front has three windows, all of which are 20th-century two-light casements. Between the first and second windows from the left, there is a half-glazed 20th-century door that is sheltered by a lean-to porch. To the left, there is an open-fronted cart shed with a weatherboarded loft above, which has a boarded door.
Inside, the building features collar and tie-beam roof trusses with queen struts. Despite the later alterations, Little Selley retains its late 17th-century plan and character.
