Description
The building is a cartshed and stable, now used as a garage, store, and stables, located 25 metres west of Woofferton Court Farmhouse. It dates from the mid-18th century and has undergone later alterations. The structure features weatherboarded timber framing and red brick on a stone plinth, topped with a plain-tile roof. It consists of a 4-bay cartshed and a 2-bay stable, with a loft above.
On the exterior, the cartshed to the left has large-panel weatherboarding with four openings at the front, supported by posts on stone pads. The opening to the right contains a 20th-century door, while the brick wall to the right is partly from the 19th century. The right-hand gable end has two plain boarded doors, and the left-hand gable and rear walls are weatherboarded with reused timber framing on a high stone rubble plinth.
Inside, there are chamfered bridging beams with run-out stops, although the loft floor is from the 20th century, and there is a 6-bay king-post roof. The stable includes stalls and feeding racks. This building is included for its group value.
