Description
The building is a former Blower's Repository, now used as library offices, and was constructed in 1902. It features a brick structure with a mock timber facade, an ashlar porch, and a plain tiled roof. The building is two storeys high and has a two-window range with an advanced gable on the right side. To the left, there is a full-height porch with a round-arched entrance and mullioned and transomed windows above, which have leaded lights. The archway is inscribed with "Blowers Repository."
The original shop front is located in the right-hand gable, featuring a high fascia supported by moulded consoles. The upper storey showcases mock timbering with decorative panels that create a baluster-like arcading, along with a moulded bressumer supporting the jettied second storey. The gable apex is adorned with herringbone struts and cusped braces. Above, there is a shallow oriel window with leaded lights, and the gable contains paired three-light mullioned and transomed windows, with an enriched tie beam above that bears the date.
