Description
1 and 2 Church Walk are 18th-century houses that were refronted in the 20th century. They feature a brick front with a rubble core and a plain tile roof, topped by a central 18th-century brick ridge stack. The buildings are two stories tall, with an attic and cellar, and have a four-window range consisting of 2-light casements set under segmental arches. There is a storey band and four tile-hung gable dormers, each with 2-light casements. Plank doors are located to the left and right, each under simple porches. The front also includes two 3-light casements under segmental arches, with a passage to the rear on the left side. The left gable is made of rubble and features a 20th-century window under a brick segmental arch. Inside, the passage has exposed joists and beams in the ceiling, while the rear is constructed of rubble with 20th-century windows and doors leading to the cellar. The two tile-hung gable dormers are also present at the rear. Notably, No. 2 contains exposed timber-framing and ceiling beams.
