Description

These are a group of houses located on Lower Broad Street in Ludlow. They likely date from the 17th century. The front is constructed of rubble, rendered to the first floor, with a plain tile roof and a brick end stack. The houses have a two-unit plan and are two storeys and an attic. The front facade originally had a two-window range, now featuring 20th-century three-light casement windows. There are two 20th-century gable dormers, also with three-light casements. A central entrance has a 20th-century oak door with an oak grille, sheltered by a 20th-century restored porch hood with plain tiles and an oak frame. To the right is a canted bay with 20th-century casements and a stone-tiled pentice roof, and to the left, a 20th-century three-light casement under a brick segmental arch. The rear of the property features twin gabled wings built of brick and render, with 20th-century windows and old tiles. A passage has a moulded plate.
