Description
No. 37 Lower Broad Street is an 18th-century house that has been altered over time. It features a rendered exterior and a shallow pitched Welsh slate roof, which was likely raised in the 19th century. The house has three storeys and a three-window range, with two 20th-century, two-light casements and, to the right, an early 19th-century, six-over-six sash window in a broad case. Above these are two more 20th-century, two-light casements. The building has brick dentilled eaves and a central part-glazed panelled door set in a moulded case, complete with a moulded flat hood and plain pilasters, all dating from the 20th century. This door is flanked by two 20th-century, three-light casements, with the right one featuring a cambered head, and there is a storey band above. At the rear, there are two gable wings; the left wing is constructed of rubble with a rendered first floor, while the right wing is made of brick, both featuring 20th-century windows and entrances.
