Description
This is a barn that adjoins the Upper Farmhouse to the west, dating from the 17th century with some alterations made in the late 19th century. It features a timber frame that is weatherboarded and clad in corrugated iron, with a coursed limestone rubble plinth and a roof also made of corrugated iron. The barn has approximately six framed bays and is one storey high with a loft. On the north front, there are two late 19th-century gabled semi-dormers that have boarded loft doors, along with four additional boarded loft doors located below the eaves and a central boarded door. The barn is noted for its well-preserved complete frame and its group value with the Upper Farmhouse, which is not included in this listing.
