Description

Lake House is a circa 1800 mill house, now a farmhouse, located on the north-west side of Mill Lane in Clun. The building is constructed of squared and coursed limestone with sandstone ashlar lintels, and has a slate roof. It is two storeys high, with a gable-lit attic. Integral brick end-stacks are present. The building has three bays, with glazing bar sashes; the window in the centre of the first floor is raised. A central entrance features a six-panel flush door, the top four panels glazed, with a rectangular overlight, and is sheltered by a mid-to-late 19th-century gabled timber porch. It is comparable to Clun Mill.
