House. C17, with C20 alterations and extensions. Timber-framed with plastered panels; some rebuilding and extensions in brick. Thatched roof with gable ends. Gable-end stack with rebuilt brick shaft. PLAN: 2-room with central entrance, probably into a larger right-hand room heated from a gable-end fireplace. In the C20 the partition between the 2 rooms was partly removed and a single-storey rear outshut and a single-storey wing at the right end were built. EXTERIOR: one-storey and attic. 2-window front. C20 metal-framed casements within panels of frame. C20 plank door at centre with C20 open gabled porch. C20 single-storey wing on right. On left end C20 bay window and 3-light window with leaded panes in gable above. At rear thatch swept over half-dormer, single-storey outshut on left and single-storey C20 wing on left end, both with plain-tile roofs. INTERIOR: said to have partly removed partition between the 2 ground-floor rooms, stop-chamfered ceiling beams and an open fireplace with a bressumer.
