Description
The Rectory, which includes a stable block, is a house built in the late 18th to early 19th century. It features brick construction with stone rubble walls at the rear and has hipped and gabled slate roofs with brick end stacks. The building has an L-shaped plan, consisting of a main front range and a rear cross wing.
The south front has two storeys and four windows, with the main wall displaying 6/6 sash windows that have brick segmental-arched lintels at the ground floor. There is a later addition of a projecting two-storey entrance bay, which features a 2/2 sash window with a stepped hoodmould at the first floor, above a bracketed flat canopy and a restored panelled door. The gable is topped with brick coping and an octagonal brick finial. To the right, there is a brick and tile stable block.
On the west side of the rear wing, there is a two-storey, two-window range of 6/6 sashes, also with brick segmental-arched lintels at the ground floor. The interior has not been inspected.
