Description

The cock pit, likely from the 18th or early 19th century, is constructed from sandstone blocks. It features a circular plinth that is 3 to 4 courses high, creating a platform with semi-circular steps on the north and south sides. The structure is situated within a dished enclosure that is bordered by a holly hedge. This area also includes an ice house, a well, and yew trees on a revetted mound, although these elements are not part of the listing.
