Description
Church Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, which was re-modelled in the early to mid 19th century. It features stucco rendering that covers sandstone walls and a timber frame, with plain tiled roofs. The building is two storeys high with an attic and has irregular fenestration. The windows are all 19th and 20th century casements, with three on the first floor and three on the ground floor, along with French windows to the right. There are two gabled dormers in the roof slope, located to the centre and left. A 20th century door is situated to the left, set in a plain 19th century doorcase beneath a 20th century gabled porch. A brick ridge stack is positioned to the right. The rear of the house displays exposed square panelling. There are also two projecting gabled wings at the back, which may be later additions from the 18th century; one wing to the left has a brick ridge stack, while the one to the right features a stepped gable and an end stack. Additionally, there is an 18th century brick barn that is angled to the back wall and is now part of the house.
