Description

The ice house, likely built in the mid-19th century, serves as either an ice storage facility or a beer cellar. It features a simple and unadorned exterior, highlighted by a large sandstone lintel. Access to the interior is via a single flight of steps, which leads to a brick barrel vault supported by red brick piers. Inside, compartments have been carved out of the bedrock. This structure is listed in association with the nearby cock-pit.
