Description
The ice house, dating from the early 19th century, is constructed of brick and set within an artificial mound of earth. It features a round domed chamber with a double wall that has cavities. Access is provided through a barrel-vaulted passage that includes an angled turn designed to block sunlight. There is a segmental-arched loading passage located at a high level on the north side.
