Description
This is a house located at 4 Raven Lane, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of painted brick and features a steeply pitched Welsh slate roof with a cross axial brick end stack. The building is two stories tall, with an attic and cellar, and has a single-window range consisting of an 8/8 sash window. The eaves are dentilled brick, and there is a 19th-century skylight.
The central entrance has a 19th-century, six-panel door with a cast-iron overlight, all beneath a simple wooden hood with moulded jambs. To the left of the entrance is an 8/8 sash window, and to the right is a 3/6 sash window, both set under segmental arches. At the rear, there is another entrance to the left, which features a 19th-century six-panel door in a heavy case. To the right is a 20th-century enlarged casement window, with an 8/8 sash window above it, and the dentilled eaves continue here as well. The house is included for its group value.
