Description
35 South Street is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a Welsh slate roof, with a brick ridge stack and two stacks at the front. The building has three storeys and a cellar, with a two-window range that includes 6/6 sash windows beneath rusticated stucco lintels with keyblocks, and 3/6 sash windows under similar lintels. The eaves are brick corbelled. The entrance is located to the left and consists of a four-moulded-panel door with a plain overlight set in panelled reveals, topped by a moulded flat hood and frieze, supported by panelled pilasters. There is also a 6/6 sash window under a similar lintel. The building features stucco quoins, while the right returned side and the wing to the rear are roughcast. The interior has not been inspected.
