Description
Bryanstone House, now divided into flats, is an early 19th-century brick building with a hipped twin-span slate roof and four brick lateral stacks. It stands three storeys high with a cellar and features a three-window range, including 8/8 and 4/4 sash windows, all set beneath gauged brick flat arches. The brick modillion eaves add to its architectural detail. The central entrance consists of an 8-moulded-panel door with a margin-glazed overlight, framed by panelled reveals and topped with an enriched wood entablature supported by Tuscan columns. This entrance is flanked by 8/8 sash windows, also under gauged brick flat arches. At the rear, there are three tiers of 8/8 and 4/4 sashes beneath gauged brick flat arches. Although the interior was not inspected, to the right of the building, there is a wing-wall featuring a plank door and double doors, adorned with an ornate wrought-iron screen above.
