Description

Langley Villa is a house dating from the mid-19th century, located in Culmington. Constructed of sandstone rubble with a roughcast wing, it has a plain tile roof and brick ridge and end stacks, a lateral stack, and a stack to the rear. The house is arranged in an L-shape. The two-storey, four-window front features 2-light casement windows. A prominent advanced wing has a 3-light mullion and transom window with a central casement, set under an ogee-head, and features a small gable with a blind ogee-headed opening alongside scalloped bargeboards with spike-finials. An entrance, originally at the centre right, is now concealed behind a 20th-century porch. A similar ogee-headed window is located to the left and on the advanced wing. A wing extends to the rear of the property. The interior has not been inspected. The building is listed at group value for its architectural significance.
