Description

The Mill House is a house dating from the late 18th century and the 19th century. It is constructed from coursed squared rubble and brick, with a rendered finish and a pantile roof that features two gable and two ridge stacks. The building has two storeys and five bays, forming an L shape.

The south front has a pitched roof latticed timber porch on the left, which contains a pilastered doorcase with a segmental head featuring a keystone and a six-panelled door. To the left of the porch is a single glazing bar sash window, and to the right are three similar sashes, all with segmental heads. Above the door, there is a blank panel flanked on the left by a single glazing bar sash and on the right by a 20th-century casement window; beyond this, there are two additional glazing bar sashes.

At the rear, there is a three-storey western wing that includes a 19th-century single bay porch at the return angle, which has a four-centred arched door and a parapet. The rear elevation features a round-headed stair window with glazing bars above. The gable of the rear wing has four glazing bar sashes and three 19th-century two-light casements. The lower eastern rear wing is two storeys high with four bays and has irregular fenestration.
