Stable Block 40 Metres North Of Burford House

The stable block, located 40 metres north of Burford House, dates from the 18th century and is now used as a garden museum and store. It is constructed of brick and features plain-tiled roofs. The building has a central square block that is two stories high, topped with a pyramid roof, and flanked by single-storey wings with gabled roofs.

On the exterior, there is a central lantern with a clock face on the north side, set on a square projecting tower. This tower is topped with an octagonal round-arched arcade that has an ogival leaded roof and a weather-vane. The north front includes 20th-century multi-pane casements and two French windows at the ground floor. The right return side features 20th-century casements flanked by plain boarded doors at ground level, with a 19th-century casement window above. The interior has not been inspected.
