Description
The former barn, located approximately 20 metres southeast of Lower Broughton Farmhouse, is a Grade II listed structure, likely dating from the 15th century. It is timber framed and features weatherboarding, an uncoursed rubble plinth, and a corrugated iron roof with a catslide over a lean-to on the south side. The barn consists of three framed bays and has three two-leaf boarded doors on the north side. Inside, there are four full cruck trusses that are unconnected at the apex, along with staggered trenched purlins, and the eaves have been raised on the south side.
