Description

EARDISLEY CP A 4111 (east side) SO 35 SW 3/47 Barn about 5 yards north-west of 19.8.53 Eardisley Wooton Farmhouse GV II* Barn. Possibly C13. Timber-framed and weatherboarded on rubble base with corrugated metal roof, half-hipped at south end. Three cruck-framed bays aligned north/south; central wagon bay has opposed cart entries with double doors. Roof is slightly raised above wagon bay. Interior: framing: all four trusses survive; south end one is truncated. Wall-framing has two large panels from sill to wall-plate, long straight braces across lower corners, some swept upper corner braces and two tiers of purlins.
