Description

This is an 18th-century barn located about 20 yards north of Berrowhill Farmhouse. It features a timber-framed structure built on a brick base, with weatherboarding and a plain tiled roof. The barn consists of four framed bays arranged in an east-west orientation. There is a wagon bay with opposed cart entries and double doors situated second from the west end. The south elevation includes a doorway in the third bay from the west end and a pair of large doorways in the east end bay. Inside, the barn has large rectangular panels extending from the sill to the wall-plate, long straight braces in the lower corners, and intermediate tie-beam trusses with raking struts, although the end truss is not visible. The east end bay is floored.
