Description

This is an 18th-century barn located to the south east of Bury Farmhouse. The barn has a timber frame with a brick plinth and outshot walls, featuring arched pigstyes on the west side. The main walls are weatherboarded, and the roof is covered in old tiles. A high gabled wagon entrance is situated on the east side, opposite cart doors. It comprises seven bays, exhibiting jowled posts with curved braces to the tiebeams and queen struts to the collars. Curved windbraces are visible in the four northern bays, and much of the original wall framing remains, with some curved braces still present.
