Description
The former barn adjoining Lower Broughton Farmhouse to the north-west is a building dating from the late 17th century or 18th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and features weatherboarding, an uncoursed rubble plinth, and a corrugated iron roof. The barn consists of four framed bays and has two storeys. The framing is made up of square panels. There are scattered boarded doors on the north side and a two-leaf boarded door on the east side. Inside, the barn has a double purlin roof supported by collar trusses, and there is an inserted 19th-century floor.
