Description
Nos. 18 and 19 High Street is a house that has been converted into a shop, dated 1713. It is constructed of painted brick and features a plain tiled roof. The building stands three storeys high and includes two hipped dormers in the roof, with a four-window range. The ground floor has an inserted shop front. The first floor is adorned with four-pane sash windows, while the second floor has twelve-pane sashes, both with flat-arched gauged brick heads, moulded sills, and recessed aprons beneath the second-floor windows. There is a string course above the first-floor windows, and the building has stone angle quoins, an overhanging moulded wood modillion eaves cornice, and lead rainwater goods with an enriched head. A date stone is positioned between the upper windows, and the building features coped gables with gable end stacks.
