Description

No. 36 Castle Street is a shop that dates from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of brick and features a plain tiled roof. The building has three storeys and a single-window range. A late 20th-century shop front has been inserted, which partially obscures a 4-pane sash window on the first floor. The upper windows are adorned with flat-arched gauged brick heads. The building also has a cornice and parapet that includes blind recesses. It forms one structure with Nos. 35 and 35A.
