14, Castle Street

No. 14, Castle Street is a house, possibly incorporating an earlier structure, with a distinctive early 19th-century facade. It is now a shop. The building is stuccoed, with the roof hidden behind a parapet. It stands four storeys high and has a narrow two-window front. A late 20th-century shop front has been inserted at ground level, while the upper floors retain 12-pane sash windows within moulded architraves. A continuous sill band runs across the first floor. The building has group value within the wider streetscape.
