Description

This is an early 17th-century timber-framed shop, likely originally built as a shop and dwelling. It is a two-storey building with an attic, featuring a single-window range. The roof is covered with plain tiles. A late 20th-century shop front has been inserted. A canted bay window sits above the shop front, with tripartite sash windows and a five-light casement window positioned beneath the gable apex. The bay is decorated with balustrades. The main structure exhibits close studding timber framing with two intermediate rails. The gable apex is slightly jettied and supported by moulded brackets. The roof structure consists of queen struts, topped with a pendant finial to the bargeboards.
