Description

No. 30 Castle Street is a shop that likely started as a dwelling, built in the early 18th century. The building is constructed of brick and features a plain tiled hipped roof. It has three storeys and an attic dormer, with a two-window range. The shop front was added in the late 20th century but retains parts of an earlier moulded cornice above. The building has flush-framed 12-pane sash windows with flat-arched gauged brick heads and continuous sill bands. There is a coved eaves cornice and a hipped gabled dormer window in the roof.
