Description

No. 15, Castle Street is a house, likely incorporating an earlier structure, with a front facade dating to the early 19th century. The building is stuccoed and has a hidden roof behind a parapet. It is three storeys high with a four-window front. A late 20th-century shop front and a passage to a rear courtyard have been inserted on the right-hand side. The first-floor windows are 12-pane sashes set within segmentally-arched arcades featuring fluted keystones, which connect to a projecting sill band on the second storey. The second storey has six-pane sash windows in moulded architraves, each with decorative iron balconettes. Console brackets are moulded to the eaves cornice.
