11/13 Barn approx. 20m - south of The Ditches Farmhouse

Barn. C17 with later alterations. Weatherboarded timber frame with regularly coursed limestone rubble to right gable end and red brick to left; corrugated iron roof. 2 levels; stable doors and eaves hatches on both sides with C20 double doors to far right on north. Interior: framing visible, square and rectangular panels, some with woven infill, and short straight tension braces. Raised wooden threshing floor in third bay from right. Double-purlin roof in 7 bays has mixture of Queen- strut trusses and raking struts from tie beams supporting principal rafters. The Ditches Farmhouse is not included in this list.
