Description

Old Farmhouse is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from the early 19th century with later alterations. It is constructed of red brick on a sandstone plinth and features a slate roof with integral end stacks, which were rebuilt in yellow brick during the mid-19th century. The building has two storeys and a toothed eaves cornice. The front has three windows, which are 16-paned glazing bar sashes with stone wedge lintels. There is a central entrance with a plain pilastered pedimented doorcase that contains a six-panel door, although the upper panels are now glazed. At the rear, there is a contemporary two-storey outshut. The farmhouse is included for its group value.
