Description
High House is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from the early to mid-19th century with later alterations. It is constructed of red brick on a sandstone plinth and features a graded slate roof with integral end stacks. The building has three storeys and a toothed eaves cornice. The front has three windows, which are late 20th-century casements set in 19th-century segmental-headed openings. The central entrance has a four-panel door, with the top panels now glazed, and the outline of a former gabled porch is visible in the brickwork. At the rear, there is a roughly contemporary two-storey L-shaped range made of red brick and sandstone, also with an integral end stack.
