Description

3 and 4 St John's Hill is a pair of shops that were originally dwellings. The building features a timber frame that has been refaced in brick, topped with a plain tiled roof. It is two stories high with an attic and has a three-window range. There is a passage entry on the left side leading to a shop front that has scrolled console brackets supporting the fascia. Beyond a straight joint, there is a doorway with a small hood above and a 12-pane sash window. The first floor also has 12-pane sash windows, and there are dormer windows in the roof. A stack is located on the right-hand gable wall, and the lower gable wall displays exposed timber framing in square panels above a stone plinth.
