Description

The Admiral Benbow Public House is a public house located on Swan Hill in Shrewsbury. It was built around 1800 and raised in height in the later 19th century. The building is constructed of brick and has a plain tiled roof. It stands three storeys high and features a five-window range with a raking outshut at the rear. The central entrance is framed by a moulded architrave with scrolled brackets supporting the hood. The windows are casement style, with mullions and transoms, and the lower windows have smoked glass. The building also has gable end stacks.
