Description

The Clerk to the Justices Building is a purpose-built office structure from the mid-19th century. It features channelled ashlar facing on brick and stands two storeys high with a three-window range facing College Hill. The building has a canted angle and a single-window return elevation towards Swan Hill. The outer bays are slightly advanced and include two-pane sash windows with cambered heads, voussoirs, and keystones in the left-hand bay, along with paired windows above the door and to the right. A continuous string course creates a pediment over the door in the recessed central section. The building is topped with an overhanging moulded eaves cornice and has rear wall stacks.
