Labour Party Offices, Damside, Ayr

The Labour Party Offices, located at Damside in Ayr, is an early 20th-century building featuring two storeys and four bays, with a canted corner bay on a prominent corner site. The exterior is finished in channelled red ashlar and includes a base course, a cill course at the first floor, a cornice, a parapet, and raised channelled quoins. The ground floor windows are arched and adorned with keystones, while the first-floor windows are shouldered.

On the south elevation, there are steps leading to a round-arched entrance situated in the penultimate bay to the left. This entrance features a raised doorpiece, a consoled keystone, a cornice, and corniced dies above, along with a timber door and fanlight. A single window is aligned above the entrance at the first floor. The remaining bays display regular fenestration patterns, including the corner bay, which has a business fascia between the floors and a blank plaque section that rises through the parapet.

The west elevation, facing Weaver Street, consists of two bays with the corner bay on the right. Both floors exhibit regular fenestration, and a wallhead stack rises from a channelled band that divides the bays. There is also a single-storey section to the outer left.

The building features timber windows and has a roof that was unseen in 1998, along with coped stacks and circular cans. The interior was not accessible for viewing in 1998.
