Description
This is a pair of houses, now used for commercial purposes, dating from the late 18th century. They are constructed of brick and topped with a Welsh slate roof. The buildings rise three storeys and feature a three-window range with a central entrance. The entrance includes a six-panelled door set within a moulded architrave, flanked by shop fronts that have been inserted. The outer bays above the shop fronts originally had full-height arched recesses that contained tripartite sash windows with moulded timber lintels, but these have now been replaced in the left-hand unit. The central window has a flat-arched gauged brick head, with the original sash replaced by a wood mullioned and transomed window. The attic storey features six-pane sashes, and the buildings have coped upper gables with gable end stacks.
