Description
The cowsheds, mixing-house, and granary, located approximately 40 meters northeast of Shelvock Farmhouse, date from the early 19th century and have undergone later alterations. They are constructed from uncoursed and roughly coursed sandstone rubble, topped with slate roofs. The north range continues eastward at a higher level where it meets the east range, which has two storeys, while the north range is single storey. The building features irregular fenestration, including three segmental-headed windows alternating with segmental-headed plank doors on the north range, and two segmental-headed windows alternating with segmental-headed doorways on the east range. There is also a wider segmental-headed cart entrance at the junction of the north and east ranges. Inside, the north range has a king-post roof spanning four bays, while the east range and the granary at the junction between the ranges each have roofs spanning three bays. Shelvock Farmhouse is not included in this listing.
