Description
The pigsties and hen house, located immediately to the northeast of Shelvock Farmhouse, were likely built in the mid-19th century. They are constructed from uncoursed sandstone rubble and feature chamfered coping, topped with slate roofs. The structure includes three pigsties on the west side and two on the east, separated by a narrow walkway, with a rectangular walled area to the south. The eastern set of pigsties has a hen house built over it. This building is included for its group value with Shelvock Farmhouse, which is not listed.
