Description
This henhouse and pigsties, located approximately 30 yards north of Hoppen Farmhouse, date from the early 19th century. The structure is built of random rubble and features a Welsh slate roof. It has two storeys and consists of one bay. There is a boarded door leading to the pigsty, set within an alternating-block surround. On the left side, external stone steps lead to the first-floor henhouse. The building has a gabled roof with flat coping and a weather vane.
To the right, there are two additional pigsties that are lower in height and have exercise yards in front. The walls of these pigsties are designed with sloping chutes leading to round, stone feeding troughs.
