Description
Spindlestone Ducket is a 18th-century structure, often referred to as a windmill, but more likely serves as a dovecote. It is built from coursed stone and features a Welsh slate roof. The building is a tall, tapering, slender, round tower with four storeys. There is a blocked doorway and a let-floor window, both framed with alternating-block surrounds. Above these, there are shuttered windows, and each opening has a relieving arch. A band runs above the first floor, and the tower is topped with a conical roof that has a ball finial.
