Description

This limekiln, located approximately three-quarters of a mile west of Adderstone Mains, dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of dressed sandstone. It features a five-sided canted screen with three large segmental-arched openings. Inside, the arches are corbelled to support smaller round-headed drawing arches. There is an artificial mound situated behind the structure.
