Description

This barn, located to the north of Lydham Farmhouse, dates from the late 17th century. It features a weatherboarded timber frame with an uncoursed limestone rubble plinth and a corrugated iron roof. The structure consists of three framed bays, with a passageway on the south side. The framing includes square panels, with three panels extending up to the wall plate. There are three boarded doors on the west side. Inside, there is an inserted 19th-century floor in the central bay, and the roof has a double purlin design with queen strut end trusses that include V-struts.
