Description
This barn, located about 30 metres north of Lye Court Farmhouse, dates back to the 17th century and has some alterations from the mid-19th century. It features a timber frame set on a coursed rubble plinth and is weatherboarded, topped with a hipped corrugated iron roof that slopes to the right-hand (north) end. The barn is arranged in five bays running north to south, with a threshing floor situated in the center of the three southern bays. There are double doors leading to the threshing floor, as well as another pair of doors added to the wall on the left side. The framing consists of three square panels high, retaining some wattle infill, and the trusses include two raking struts.
