Description

This is a house, likely dating from the 17th century with subsequent alterations. It is timber-framed with plaster infill, partially finished in roughcast. The roof is Welsh slate, and it has a brick stack. The house is arranged in an L-shape, with the main block being one bay wide and two bays long, with additional wings extending to the north-east and south-east.

The south-west elevation features a gabled front on the left side, with a central two-light casement window from the early 20th century and a smaller window to its left. A contemporary canted bay window is situated centrally on the ground floor of the gable. The gable top is roughcast and shows the ends of the roof purlins. Attached to the right-hand side is a single-storey wing constructed of brick and timber framing, containing two windows with mid-20th century two-light casements, one on either side of a glazed door. The frame of the gable has four rectangular panels extending from the cill to the tie. The rear elevation of the wing has multiple struts that create a pattern of lozenges in the gable top.

The interior contains heavy chamfered ceiling beams, including stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops.
