Farmhouse. Cl7 with C18-C20 alterations. Timber-frame partly faced in stuccoed brick, with coursed rubble stone plinth and rear left wing. Tile roof with brick ridge and brick and stone massive projecting lateral stacks. Porch and door on left end where some square-panel framing is visible. Further similar framing visible to rear of right cross-wing (restored C20). To rear also are lean-to and further 2-and 3-light casements. Timber-framing is also said to remain on the front elevation but is now all covered in stuccoed brick. The original queen-strut roof probably remains in part but with restoration including some purlins in early C19. (RCHM, Vol III, p99).
