Description

A barn, likely dating to the late 18th or early 19th century, stands approximately 20 yards northeast of Green Crize. The barn is constructed of sandstone rubble with brick dressings and a tiled roof, arranged over five bays aligned north/south, with two levels. The east-facing elevation features a central wagon entry with a two-leaved ledged door, flanked by five rows of ventilation loops. A central brick porch is present on the west elevation. The south gable has a brick band at eaves level and five brick-dressed semi-circular ventilators. A ledged door is positioned in the centre of the upper level, with a tallet staircase rising from the left, incorporating a dog kennel. The interior reveals pegged king-post trusses with angle struts extending from the king-posts to the principals. Green Crize is not included within the listing.
